Task 3: The Importance of communication skills for engineers

"Employers identify communication as one of the basic competencies every graduate should have, asserting that the ability to communicate is valuable for obtaining employment and maintaining successful job performance."

Sherwyn Morreale, Michael Osborn & Judy Pearson, Professors of Communication (2000)

The professors in the above statement are highlighting the importance of communication in the working world. And I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

I believe that communication in the workplace isn't just about having a message sent and received accurately. It's also about building relationships, minimizing errors, and most importantly, working as efficiently as possible

Good communication leads to consistency and productivity in the workplace. It allows us to work well and bond with different types of people. This in turn can boost teamwork which contributes to better project collaboration. Good communication applies not only to engineers, but to every industry.
